Grouplove ‘Shark Attack’ – The Song of the Week for 12/16/2013

Released December 2, 2013 via Atlantic Records, “Shark Attack” is the official 2nd single off of Spreading Rumours, the 2nd studio album by GROUPLOVE

Genre: Alternative Rock, Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Alternative Dance

When I first had the chance to listen to the new Grouplove album, Spreading Rumours, I immediately fell in love with “Shark Attack” and knew that it was going to be a single release from the album. “Ways To Go” was (and still is) a huge hit and the band needed to come back with a strong 2nd single. For awhile it looked like “Borderlines and Aliens” was going to be the 2nd single but I believe the band nixed that idea. Does anyone know what happened there? I am excited about the potential of “Shark Attack” as a single and hope it keeps the band in the position they are currently in.

What are your thoughts on the band releasing “Shark Attack” as the followup single to “Ways To Go”? What will be the next song released if there is a 3rd single? Sound off in comments section below or tweet me @MusicTrajectory

“And I am what I am, a natural disaster
Pick me up at three, send me off to sea
And maybe I’ll come back for you
See, I lost my clothes, I’m skinny-dipping
And I can’t understand what I’m after”
