Lorde ‘Team’ – The Song of the Week for 12/23/2013

If you haven’t heard of Lorde yet, where the heck have you been this year? Hailing from New Zealand, this singer-songwriter has taken the world by storm this year with 3 huge hits, most notable with her first single “Royals”, which will be in the top 5 of most song-of-the-year lists.

Lorde’s musical style is one that has crossover appeal, which is evident by the fact you can hear her music on all different types of radio stations (rock, alternative, pop, etc.) and has charted on all major Billboard charts. Arguably, the only other band/artist to do this to the same degree this year would be Imagine Dragons.
