Jack’s Mannequin. Meh. Something Corporate. Meh. But this new material from Andrew McMahon under the name Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness is not meh. It’s really good. Lead single “Cecilia and the Satellite” is on its way to being a huge indie pop hit, gaining lots of momentum here in early 2015. Definitely check out the rest of the album as it is solid from front to back. Look for “Canyon Moon” to be the next single. And check out the song “High Dive”, especially the chorus, and tell me he doesn’t sound like a young Tom Petty.
