“Young Blood” by The Naked and Famous – The Song of the Week for 1/23/2012
“Young Blood” by The Naked and Famous from Passive Me, Aggressive You isn’t brand new like most of my Song of the Week selections are, but the song is just now breaking out and becoming a widely popular song so I hope to give it some momentum
Genre: Indie Rock, Synthpop
Great song with a fantastic synth beat and inspirational lyrics. This song has been all over my local radio station, 91X, and it ranked #39 on their Top 91 of 2011 year-end list. The song was also recently named the most played song on the world famous KROQ radio. Give it a few listens and you will love it, trust me.
“Can’t help myself but count the flaws
Claw my way out through these walls
One temporary escape
Feel it start to permeateWe lie beneath the stars at night
Our hands gripping each other tight
You keep my secrets hope to die
Promises, swear them to the sky”
