Nate Ruess ‘Nothing Without Love’ – The Song of the Week for 3/2/2015

Released February 23, 2015 via Fueled By Ramen, “Nothing Without Love” is the debut single from Nate Ruess

Fun.? No its not Fun. This is Nate Ruess, the lead singer of Fun. who are on a hiatus so the respective main songwriters of the band, namely Nate Ruess and Jack Antonoff, can focus on their solo careers. Bah, they probably just needed a break from each other. Side projects are good, don’t worry about it! Jack Antonoff went off to create the currently very popular indie rock/indie pop band Bleachers who have strung together a few strong singles, “I Wanna Get Better” and “Rollercoaster”. Bleachers’ debut album was actually quite good from front to back. The sample size for Nate Ruess is obviously much smaller (as of this writing, only “Nothing Without Love” has been released) but I believe Nate Ruess has a HUGE hit on his hands. If the album is this good, potentially a hit album. We shall see. All I know for sure is that Nate Ruess has the far better voice.
