Cage The Elephant ‘Cigarette Daydreams’ – The Song of the Week for 12/22/2014

Released August 26, 2014 via RCA Records, “Cigarette Daydreams” is the 4th single off of Melophobia, the 3rd studio album by Cage The Elephant

This week’s Song of the Week is the latest single from the awesome and amazing Cage The Elephant and, I argue, “Cigarette Daydreams” is one of the most underrated songs of 2014. When Melophobia first came out and I was previewing the album, this song wasn’t one of the songs that stood out to me. After several listens this just might be the best song on the album save “Come A Little Closer”, an alternative rock smash hit in 2013. I was lucky enough to see the band just a couple weeks ago when they headlined 91X’s Wrex The Halls 2014 concert. Of course they headlined (and brought the house down).
