Album of the Week: ‘The Dream’ by Alt-J – Week of February 14th, 2022

Take a stroll around the internet to read reviews of the new Alt-J album and you’re going to come across a wave of positivity. Yes, it seems The Dream is on critical acclaim status and positioned to rival the band’s debut An Awesome Wave as their strongest album. The new album scores Album of the Week honors on the site this week.

Alt-J released four singles prior to the album release: “U&Me”, “Get Better”, “Hard Drive Gold”, and most recently, “The Actor”. Two of these songs were picked as must-hear songs below, along with deeper cut “Philadelphia”.

The band joins Portugal the Man for a tour of North America this month through April.
