- Have an awesome discography full of great albums and great songs (not just a few good albums and a few good songs).
- Be a great live band (none of this ‘no stage presence’ stuff, we need energy!)
- Have a unique/interesting/respectable story behind their rise to greatness (I don’t do boring, and a band is more than just a collection of their songs)
- Be good musicians and creators of their own music (sorry to all the pop stars that can’t sing and have all their material written for them)
